Once again, the university is hosting a Be the Match Registry drive on campus, giving you the opportunity to possibly save someone’s life.
Join us anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) in the Cap and Gown Room. It’s easy to become a registered donor. It takes just a few minutes to fill out a little paperwork and provide a DNA sample with a quick swab of the cheek.
For thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma, the best hope of survival is finding a young, healthy marrow donor. Doctors are searching the Be The Match Registry every day in hopes of finding a donor to save their patients’ lives. Imagine being a patient and being told by your doctor that there is no matched donor available to save your life. You have the opportunity to help change that by joining the Be The Match Registry and becoming part of the cure.
If you are unable to join us for the event and would like to join the Be The Match national registry, please register at this link.
Questions? Contact Shawn Fisher at sfisher13@georgefox.edu. The Be the Match event is being cosponsored by Sigma Zeta Kappa, the Nursing Club and ASC.
