Learn how to help break cycle of poverty this Tuesday

Difference-making professionals who’ve influenced Oregon policy and impacted people disadvantaged by the cycle of poverty are coming to an IDEA Center-hosted event, Break the Poverty Cycle, this Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Hoover 105. Chapel credit is available for this unique opportunity to learn about the realm of poverty in Oregon and to connect with passionate, high-ranking professionals:

  • Serena Stoudamire Wesley – Director of Equity and Community Engagement of Office of Governor Kate Brown
  • Representative John Davis – Attorney, State Legislator and George Fox alumnus
  • Will Burchard – Oregon Employment Departments Workforce & Economic Research Analyst
  • John Tapogna – President of ECONorthwest and former analyst for the U.S. Congressional Budget Office working on welfare costs
