Do economies facilitate or stifle human fulfillment and flourishing? Is stewardship at odds with capitalism? Is economic freedom an oxymoron?
Nate Peach (Economics) and Mark Hall (Politics) will lead a small-group discussion of these issues as they pertain to current events. We will read and discuss articles from The Economist each week at the Coffee Cottage. There will also be opportunities to meet and discuss these issues with scholars visiting George Fox over dinner.
Students who participate will receive all necessary materials free of cost, a $50 gift card at the Coffee Cottage, and all dinners will be paid for.
If you are interested in joining us, please send your name, major, GPA, and one to two sentences about why you would like to join us to Nate at npeach@georgefox.edu.
Before applying, please make sure you can join us each Tuesday from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. at the Coffee Cottage. We will meet from Jan. 26 to March 15.
