All are invited to join us for a weeklong Cesar Chavez celebration April 1-5. Below are the activities/events we have planned.
- April 1: Edna Mariachi in Bon Appetit, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
- April 2: “A Better Life” and panel discussion, Hoover 105, 8 p.m.
- April 3: Cesar Chavez discussion (Si se Puede) and learn how to make homemade tortillas and salsa en molcajete!
- April 4: Documentary hosted by the Latino Heritage Club
- April 5: TBA
The purpose of the events is to give you an opportunity to learn about who Cesar Chavez was and what his legacy is. We also want to raise awareness about issues regarding immigration and Latinos in higher education. Ultimately, we want to give you an opportunity to learn about Latinos from Latinos.
